The Environment Agency for England and Wales. A government agency with responsibility for many environmental issues including the management of waste, water resources and flood defences as well as regulatory responsibilities for pollution and contaminated land.

The site includes maps showing indicative flood plains for rivers and coastal areas as well as river and bathing water quality and pollution inventory sites.
